The Exotac polySTRIKER XL Firesteel is a simple and easy to use Ferrocerium fire starter.
Made from recyclable ABS plastic, the polySTRIKER XL™ fills the minimalist niche without sacrificing design or usability. The polySTRIKER XL™ line features the same innovative tungsten carbide striker design as the nanoSTRIKER XL™. The tungsten carbide insert is built into an easy-to-use striking tool that snaps into the handle.
Striking Tool
The EXOTAC fiberpolySTRIKER XL™ has a very hard and very sharp tungsten carbide insert for superior spark production. To keep everything neat and tidy, the striker snaps into the body of the polySTRIKER XL™ when not in use.
5/16" Ferrocerium Rod
This larger ferro rod is not only the easiest to use but produces the greatest number of sparks. It is also waterproof, simply pat it dry before striking.
Heavy-Duty Polymer Design
The polySTRIKER XL™ offers the largest ferro rod and handle making it the easiest to use in cold weather or with gloves on.
Flammable Lanyard (New!)
Now, all of EXOTAC's included lanyards are made from 550 FireCord™. Simply strip black the outer sheath to reveal an inner red strand that can be ignited from a spark and burns like a candle!
